The special meeting of the Board of CALL MEETING

Education of the Leslie Public Schools,

Ingham and Jackson Counties, Michigan,

was called to order by President Sherrell

at 6:00 p.m.

Members present: Randy Sherrell

William Myers (arrived at 6:03 p.m.)

Tim Carroll

Mary Crowl (arrived at 6:03 p.m.)

Members absent: Pat Fogg

COMMENTS AND/CONCERNS OF CITIZENS PRESENT:

None.

BOARD DISCUSSION AND/OR ACTION:

Moved by T. Carroll, supported by E. Isham CLOSED SESSION

to enter closed session at 6:02 p.m.,

at the request of the student to protect

the right to privacy as required by

Federal Law to hear and discuss evidence

related to the possible expulsion for

persistent disobedience. Vote: ayes 4,

nays 0, absent 3 (W. Myers, M. Crowl,

P. Fogg). Motion carried.

The Board entered Closed Session at 6:03 p.m.

Moved by M. Crowl, supported by E. Isham OPEN SESSION

that the Board of Education re-enter

regular session at 6:37 p.m. Vote:

ayes 6, nays 0, absent 1 (P. Fogg).

Moved by W. Myers, supported by M. Crowl STUDENT

that the Board of Education approve the 2009-10.01

re-enrollment of Student 2009-10.01

effective 9/15/09 with zero tolerance

of any infraction of a behavior

contract for continued enrollment.

Vote: ayes 6, nays 0, absent 1 (P. Fogg).

Motion carried.

Moved by W. Myers, supported by E. Isham CLOSED SESSION

to convene into closed session pursuant

to Subsection 8 (c) of the Michigan

Open Meetings Act for the purpose of

discussing support staff contract

negotiations. Vote: ayes 6, nays 0,

absent 1 (P. Fogg). Motion carried.

The Board entered Closed Session at 6:40 p.m.

Moved by M. Crowl, supported by W. Myers OPEN SESSION

that the Board of Education re-enter

regular session at 6:49 p.m. Vote: ayes 6,

nays 0, absent 1 (P. Fogg). Motion carried.

President Sherrell adjourned the meeting at 6:50 p.m. ADJOURNMENT
