Carol J. Franz, Middle School Principal
Welcome to Leslie Middle School!
Let me start by saying that I am both proud and honored to be the principal of such an outstanding school! Working with middle school age children and the special staff that choose to work with them has always been my passion. I am extremely blessed to work with a highly qualified, talented, compassionate staff who enjoy working with middle school students and the challenges and rewards that come with them. I love being here "in the middle!"
It is our goal at Leslie Middle School to create a safe learning environment where "Teachers Teach and Students Learn!" It is the middle school function to serve as a transition from elementary school to high school. Adolescence is a unique, interesting and sometimes challenging period of life. Our students enter our doors as elementary children and leave a few short years later as young men and women ready to conquer high school! It is a transition that is a joy to witness and experience with our students and their families.
I believe that parents/guardians must remain active during their child's education throughout middle school and into high school, and I invite them to join us in a partnership to help their children achieve success! We have many opportunities for parent involvement including eating lunch with students, chaperoning after-school activities, going on field trips, serving on committees, sharing expertise and skills, and helping teachers in our classrooms. Please let us know how you would like to join us!
What we want for all our students and families is to have a memorable, successful middle school experience. Please contact me should you ever have any questions, comments, suggestions or concerns. I hope that by continuing to work together we can assure all our Leslie Middle School Blackhawks are "Prepared for Flight!"
Best Wishes, and Go HAWKS!
Carol J. Franz :)
