The Blackhawk Big Band

The Blackhawk "Big Band" is an ensemble that focuses on the education and performance of jazz, funk, fusion and latin styles of music.  Prerequists include being a current member of the marching and concert bands at Leslie (with the exception of piano and guitar) and having a successful audition.

The group meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15pm to 4:00pm. (Currently Mondays and Fridays for 3rd trimester of 2018).  A committment to attending rehearsals are extremely important to the success and continuation of the ensemble.
