Welcome to Leslie Middle School!
Leslie Middle School is a school made up of approximately 370 students in fifth through eighth grades. Our students are taught by compassionate, caring teams of educators who work together to best meet the needs of their students using the middle school concept as their guide.
Our staff works with students, parents and community to form relationships to create a positive and safe learning environment at Leslie Middle School where everyone is valued. It is important to us to recognize our students for their positive contributions. We hold many assemblies and reward days throughout the year to promote positive behavior, attendance, academic success, and participation in our many activities.
Our school believes in offering instruction to meet our students' needs for interventions as well as enrichments. Our educators use assessments to guide our instruction by setting learning targets, success criteria and goals together with our students. We provide our students who need it extra instruction in math or reading, or support with organization and homework. We also offer enrichment activities in physical education, art and an award winning gifted and talented program.
Leslie Middle School believes in service learning. Our students give back to our community in many ways. We do food drives for our local food bank, collect funds to support our military, veterans, animal shelters and many other worthy organizations. Leslie Middle School Students help out in our preschool classrooms. Every holiday season we adopt local families though our food bank and raise money to purchase and wrap gifts to help make their holidays better.
We also offer our students extracurricular activities like band, choir, student council, PALS, SADD, and a full sports program for our young athletes.
Leslie Middle School has a lot to offer the youth of our community. We invite you to come in and learn more about us. We encourage you to contact us with any questions, comments or concerns.
